Writing with a twist

We had a surprise for writing on Wednesday... we began with some science.
We looked at what happened when we added dye and dishwashing liquid to milk...
Then we wrote about what happened.

Mad Hutters

We kicked off our Term 2 inquiry by making huts!

We tried using blankets, tarps, sheets and pegs to see which materials worked best.

Buddy Reading

We finished the day off today spending time with our buddy class, Room 12.

It was lovely seeing Room 19 being kind and careful with the Year 1 class.

Self Portraits

We have been working on self portraits over the last few weeks.
Here are the steps we have taken

First we outlined our face in pencil

Then we painted in our skin colour.

After that, we used sharpie to outline features such as our eyes, nose and mouth

Next it was time to paint our hair, eyebrows and lips

 then colour in our pupils and paint our lips

Finally we cut out t-shirts and painted bright backgrounds for our art
