Get Wise

Today we had a special visitor, Jadyn, from the ASB come to class to talk to us
about Financial Literacy.

We became CATHLETES by learning about:

• Physical money
• Invisible money (credit and eftpos cards)
• Doing chores to help around the house
• STWLFGD!

Jadyn said a credit card is like a library card - we borrow it then give it back.
If we give it back too late we have to pay a fine.

An eftpos card is using your own money.
The money is in the bank but you can use your eftpos card

At the Bank Of Stella, Jadyn deposited $10 and then used an eftpos card to buy something from Fabian's Shop.

We talked about choosing things that were good value.
Looking for the best price items,  items on sale, special deals like 2 for 1 deals.

Grandparents Day

We had a lovely time with our grandparents today in Room 19.
Students showed their work around the room, read stories, did a little bit of art or maths and talked about designs from their family.
It was lovely to see everyone's enthusiasm.
